SOCON maintains numerous survey vehicles and trailers.
All the units were designed in-house and built in cooperation with specialist companies.
The range of vehicles starts at winch trailers with 2700 meters of well
cable, includes 3-ton survey trucks (2000 meters of well cable) and
extends to 21-ton survey trucks (3600 meters of well cable).
7 wide-bodied survey trucks of 10 tons and more with 3600 meters of
well cable are reserved for surveying in storage caverns and caverns at
greater depth.
Some of the vehicles are fitted with replaceable winches or with a twin
winch. Other survey trucks are equipped with an auxiliary crane.
The L 107 survey truck is equipped with a crane which can
be extended to a maximum height of 12.5 meters for surveying brine
leaching caverns.
On vehicles fitted with the winch newly
developed by SOCON it is possible to simply exchange the cable drum so
as to convert the unit to fiber optic cable.
In this way we can perform special techniques of cavern surveillance
together with GESO, a company with whom we are working in partnership
in this area.
