Gas Storage Optimisation & Service

SOCON´s department of Gas Storage - Optimisation & Servive provides our customers with advice and support in the field of thermodynamics as well as rock mechanics. The areas of operation focus not only on the scientific support of our customers regarding gas surveys but also on the evaluation and analysis of survey results.

The thermodynamic calculations are based on the information obtained from the sonar cavern surveys, which supply in addition to data on the cavern shape and volume also parameters such as pressure, temperature and dewpoint. Applying the program package GasBase Gas Storage it is possible to perform thermodynamic rock mechanic simulations. Again SOCON continues to further develop this software to adapt it to the changing market and customer needs.

• Prepare studies and expert reports (on thermodynamics and rock mechanics) for the planning of gas storage in salt
